Projekt: NitroClim
I conducted the field study within the Project NitroClim, which is funded by the Fachagentur für Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V. (FNR). NitroClim is adressing the regeneration success of European beech, Douglas fir, Sessile oak and Silver fir under consideration of atmospheric nitrogen deposition and climatic conditions (drought). Samples are taken along an atmospheric nitrogen deposition gradient and a climatic gradient along Germany. The focus of NitroClim is to identify which of our 4 target species will be the most successful in regeneration regarding to nitrogen deposition rates and changing climatic conditions with higher predicted frequency of drought events in the future.
