Project:
I am part of the RTG ConFoBi (Conservation of Forest Biodiversity in Multiple-Use Landscapes of Central Europe), which aims at targeting studies of conservation of forest biodiversity in the Southern Black Forest in a combination of multi-scale ecologicaly, social and economical approaches.
My aim is to analyze diversity patterns and community compositions of epiphytic lichens ans bryophytes. Hence, I aim at identifying key environmental drivers at tree and stand scale as well on an individual level. I am including analyses of chemical and ecophysiological processes (e.g., water processes, photosynthesis, secondary metabolites).
